Initial questions

Can we create a public dance work that anyone can join in the moment, to experience interconnection through collaborative, self-organising and inclusive group movements?

How can this research be explored through re-imagining new forms of public collective presence and rituals of togetherness in different indoor and outdoor spaces?

What strategies do we need to develop to allow interdependence, collaboration, self-organization and emergence within a group?

How can the group remain permeable and include others?

Can interdependence and collaborative behaviours present in different environments be made visible by a group of people?

How can we communicate the importance of collaboration and our inherent dependence upon it?

How do theories of collaboration from natural science, sociology, anthropology, ecology and politics relate to these embodied collaborative approaches? How do the different theories and practices relate and influence each other?

How might this research have an impact on individuals’ appreciation of the importance of collaborative, interdependent and ecological co-existence?

How can our practices nurture more: Permeability, entanglement, sociality, no distinction between inner and outer, encountering and relating to strangers?

How does an embodied experience and perception of borders develop? What facilitate an experience of non permeable edges and borders? And what facilitate a permeable one?

How malleable and permeable our edges can be? How can our edges adapt and transform through encountering others?

How much can our everyday life be part of our dance practice? How much do we let people in in what we do in our everyday-life?

How much do we alienate others by coming together?

How non-insular and permeable could our ways of practicing gathering and togetherness be?

How can our practices facilitate experiences that support an understanding and enjoyment of interdependence?

How can offering embodied experiences of togetherness, interdependance and permeability promote a shift in people attitude toward one another?
